4D, TOTOs And All It's Worth
Had to get away...from the buzziness of TP's Open House this week, from all the assignment deadlines, from all the gossip and rumours, from all the brawls and problems of other significant creatures in my life, from sparing myself the disappointment in failing to hold that winning SGD$10 million ticket in my hand, from social responsibility...therefore, I chose the path of A Very Long Engagement. Looking at the movie poster, anyone (or maybe just me), would be scrutinizing that page for the sign that indicates R21. Haha, apparently, according to a very reliable source, it was the reverse - it was nevertheless M18. Initially, before the movie hit the big screen, I was pretty apprehensive about watching this a.k.a Days of our lives (slow-moving) soap opera cum ultimate romantic love story which will leave the ladies go drying up those tissue boxes. However, someone managed to convince me that it sure wasn't gona be like another grammy nominated film in the words of Lost In Translation. Why not take a gamble to watch it then? As it all turned out, the movie was FANTASTIC. French films are hard to do, and I wonder why Jodie Foster chose to starr in a film like that...I thought she was only plain and intellectual Anna, whose heart only belonged to King Chulalongkorn (or shall I say Chow Yun Fatt?) Haha! Alright, I've gota go hand up my group's Tourism Development project.
