City till i die
I'm City till I die,
I'm City till I die,
I know I am,
I'm sure I am,
I'm City till I die.
It’s time I spoke abt my beloved Manchester City. Unlike wat most pple think, they really are a good footballing side. But because of the more successful team known as Manchester United, we’re juz simply known as “the other half of Manchester”, much like how Everton is to Liverpool. We’ve got a great coach, a great crowd, wat’s there more to ask? Oh yeah… the players. Under Kevin Keegan, Man City used to buy players past their prime. For example, Danny Mills and Robbie Fowler, players who I felt juz did not live up to expectations at Man City. Now, Fowler has since left, while Mills soon looks to be on his way out. Under “Psycho”, he looks towards youth as his answer to City’s debt problem. Players like Flood, Croft, Ireland, Jordan, Onuoha & Richards have seen more of the ball this season than last. BWP is slightly getting more playing time while Miller will eventually get his chance. But they juz do not have the experience. They’re good youngsters, but they’re not Messi or Rooney. To be honest, Man City just does not have the strength in depth to challenge for anything. Injuries have really crippled the team to a bare minimum this season. At the beginning of the season, I could be seen telling most of my friends that they’ll be up there with the big boys, even challenging for a Champions League place. As the season progressed, I was forced to change my view. Hmmm, maybe a Uefa cup spot I fancied. As they dropped further off the pack, I thought, “hey, they’re still in the FA cup.” Beaten 2-1 by West Ham, their dream was over. Now, in 10th place and out of all cup competitions, this season looks as though it’ll finish just like the last. Only difference, we missed the Uefa cup last season by a missed penalty from the very player they nicknamed “God” at Anfield. Well, “God” din help us last season, who will be the saviour this season then?

There is no good or bad luck,
Only good news or bad news.
Got word from my colleague Dominic that some of the executives in my office would be treating us to lunch coz of the hard work we had put in during the budget period. I was kinda touched in a way coz obviously I din think they’d care. I mean, even though we put in numerous hours of OT and even stayed overnight in the office on one occasion, they wud have assumed this was wat we’re supposed to do and shouldn’t be complaining abt it anyway. Notice I put “some of the executives”, not all. Only thing left for us to do is decide on a place. Thanks for appreciating us.

Visited the Picturehouse recently. In case u dun know where tat is, it is the place where the old Cathay building used to be. Wow… that place does bring back memories. My mum used to work in tat building during her times when she was still in insurance. I remember watching many movies in that cinema as a child. There used to be a funland there too where I’d play my games or juz stand there watching others play. According to wat I saw inside, The old Cathay building closed in 2000. Has it really been 6 yrs? The shops inside the building aren’t open yet, only the cinema is. But I must say, this place does look rather spanking. Hope for better things to come then.

Jon messaged me the other day asking me to check out ebay if I still wanted tickets to Damien Rice. Although I knew the prices were gonna be outrageous anyway, juz decided to try my luck. Well, I wasn’t wrong. The prices were outrageous. Last I checked, a 70 dollar ticket had gone as high up as 201 dollars. Wat did u expect from ebay yeah? Astounding thing abt it was Jon told me it was only 90 bucks the last time he logged in. Oh well, resign to the fact. I’ll never get to watch him live this time.
